
Biography
Troy studied Film at Falmouth University, where he developed a strong foundation in cinematic language, narrative structure and visual experimentation. He has directed several short films, documentaries, and music and television promos, with a focus on strong visual language and emotional detail. Troy also enjoys operating the camera on his own projects, often using this hands-on approach to stay closely connected to the rhythm and feel of a scene.

Troy began his journey in film directing during his college years, where he developed a deep interest in both cinematography and directing. It was there he discovered the importance of mastering the camera as a storytelling tool. His university third year film, 'Schematic', a tightly crafted 10-minute piece, was selected for screening at the Beer town Film Festival, marking his first recognition on the festival circuit. He has also delved into documentary filmmaking. His documentary on a German man’s childhood escape from 1930s Germany highlights his eye for powerful true stories. His recent debut mini-feature, 'Vipers', is currently making waves on the festival circuit, already garnering multiple awards and selections for its compelling narrative and direction. Troy is currently working on TV commercials, some of which he has been the co-director/director the photography. Troy is driven by a profound commitment to using the cinematic medium to explore complex human experiences, crafting authentic and resonant stories that challenge perspectives and spark meaningful conversation.
